It's Party Time!
You're cordially invited to watch the Caps march into Pittsburgh to battle the Pens with your friends from Japers' Rink and Puck Daddy. We can't guarantee a love connection, but we can almost certainly assure plenty of hate. Oh, and maybe drink specials and prizes.
Details will follow, so consider this your save the date.

Seriously? I’ve never had a good experience there and I heard it hasn’t improved since the smoking ban.
Would be cool to meet some Rink Rats though. Any chance they will have game audio on?
Oh, I was kidding. It’s a fun place, honestly, and I hadn’t gone before the smoking ban, but smoking bans would only improve a place in my opinion (Yay asthma!)
But yeah, I’ve only been twice, for JR functions both times, and enjoyed both.

I’m actually surprised that Virginia implemented a smoking ban, what with tobacco being so important to the economy of the state and all…

Absolutely. But let me say this to my Caps fan friends – if “we” don’t outnumber “them” by at least 6-to-1, I’ll be sorely disappointed. Plan on being there, Rats and Rabbits.

Funny you should mention that. I had started one last weekend but my wife disliked it so much that when I shaved it Sunday, she updated her Facebook status to “Happy my husband shaved his moustache.” Weak.

Seriously, is this true? Only way I can come is if I bring the wife and 2-month old. Kid likes big crowds (he falls asleep). We’re taking him to his first Caps game tonight.
It’d probably be ok, but there’s an amount of swearing that was going on. I know personally I can curtail it around kids, but I don’t know about everyone. It got a little loud, but not too loud. What’s with Wysh giving extra encouragement to Penguins fans to come out? “all are welcome, and especially Penguins fans who want to Rock The Gold and/or Baby Blue.” Besides, it clearly should read “all are welcome, and especially Penguins fans who want to Rock be mocked while wearing The Gold and/or Baby Blue.” No love for Caps fans to come out?
Fun fact: A popular opinion can still be stupid.
No love for Caps fans to come out?
Being as the event is in Arlington and co-sponsored by this blog, it’s more than an implied invite for Caps fans.
Wysh wants Pens fans there to make it more interesting, leads for more banter and sh*t for him to stir up (don’t mean it in a bad way).
