Believe it or not,
I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

Believe it or not,
I’m not here at home.
Please leave a message at the beep-.
I must be out
or I’d pick up the phone;
where could I be?
Believe it or not, I’m not home!

Both teams scored 1 goal in the 1st period.
Both teams scored 2 goals in the 2nd.
Wonder what that means for the 3rd period…

49 SoG, 6 Goals and about 45 Hits
Its a great Game
People are stupid, a person is smart. This leads me to believe there must be at least one smart hockey fan in Philly.
And completely expected
but I give credit to these two teams.
For ridiculously hyped up matches, Caps/Pens games almost always live up to said hype.

True. And Guerin turned out to be exactly what the Pens needed to win the Stanley Cup. We couldn’t get him since we had picked up Kronwall on waivers and had the maximum number of player contracts. Who would have thought that 38 year old Guerin would make that big of a difference?

But tonight was an all around effort, the top line really hammering home, the other lines playing darn well, the rookies played better than some of the vets, and Theo recovered from his misplay. Good game all around

I can’t argue with Backs. But he’s my favourite guy on the team. Of course I owned a Dennie Maruk jersey at 7,…what do I know?

Never owned a sweater as a kid. If I would have convinced my parents to buy me one, I’d have worn a #5. I was a huge Langway fan.

Awesome. Bonzai is my second favorite all-time Cap after Rod. Both guys were stars in DC, but IMO under appreciated outside of DC. Hmmm, maybe there is a theme there that can help me with my decision.

Rod was definitely the man. Love the Caps D-Men from the 80s and early-mid 90s. I also would have been happy with Mike Ridley jersey but I don’t think they would be so easy to find in TO (well when he was withe the Caps I mean). And of course Bengt but that’s goes almost w/o saying.

I saw a fair amount of Ridley jerseys at the Cap Centre. I was never a huge fan of his. If not Rod, I’d have probably gone with a Lou Franceschetti or Doug Jarvis one.

My first was a Joe Nieuwendyk 1999 Dallas Stars jersey. . .
my dad got it randomly on a business trip. My hockey interest was sparked in complete obscurity

A Joe N. Flames version would have been much better. I hate the Stars. Could have been worse though. He could have bought you a Derian Hatcher jersey.

His play in the playoffs last year kind of made me question my previous conversion. However, this year his driving to the net and more physical play has convinced me that BB was right all along on him.

So this was the “Knuble vs. Sid” matchup, not the “Ovechkin vs. Sid” matchup?
Damnit to hell. I was fooled.

I just finished up the game, I had to pause it to deal with a work emergency, and I have to say I don’t think I could take another game listening to the Pens announcers.
Every time Ovie made a hit it was a penalty according to them and good god it was painful to listen to. Thanks NHLN for making my ears bleed. That said HELLS YA what a great game by the caps and Theo looked great again outside of that fluky 1st goal.
I can't stand Pens radio announcers
i dont know, nor do I care, if Mike Lange is some heralded announcer.
His tired 1950’s announcer shtick that sounds more like he is talking down to the listeners and quoting movie lines after goals all the while lapping up all the sweat of of Cindys nether regions, because you can’t convince me he has a set, does wonders to piss me off everytime I hear them.
Promote the game, it's the NHL, not SCHL
FO Caps: 62.1%
With Bmo going 8-0 in the dot.
Hits: Pens w/41, Caps: 25
Ovie leads all skaters with 7(a stat I think was hugely inflated for the pens)
SoG: Caps out shot again, this time by 4 after registering 34 SoG
People are stupid, a person is smart. This leads me to believe there must be at least one smart hockey fan in Philly.
actually, i thought the Pens did a lot of hitting tonight, so that may be accurate. Caps just did quality hits

unfortunately what the media will publish i feel will not be the story that should be. The story will read how a struggling Pens team with their back up goaltender aren’t firing on all cylinders. What should be written is about the fact that Washington actually can play D and how impressive their 2 ROOKIE DMEN performed under a real good pressure situation
Promote the game, it's the NHL, not SCHL
im ok with our dmen remaining “secret” weapons… let people underestimate them!
