Believe it or not,
I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

I just finished up the game, I had to pause it to deal with a work emergency, and I have to say I don’t think I could take another game listening to the Pens announcers.

Every time Ovie made a hit it was a penalty according to them and good god it was painful to listen to. Thanks NHLN for making my ears bleed. That said HELLS YA what a great game by the caps and Theo looked great again outside of that fluky 1st goal.

I can't stand Pens radio announcers

i dont know, nor do I care, if Mike Lange is some heralded announcer.
His tired 1950’s announcer shtick that sounds more like he is talking down to the listeners and quoting movie lines after goals all the while lapping up all the sweat of of Cindys nether regions, because you can’t convince me he has a set, does wonders to piss me off everytime I hear them.

Promote the game, it's the NHL, not SCHL

FO Caps: 62.1%

With Bmo going 8-0 in the dot.

Hits: Pens w/41, Caps: 25

Ovie leads all skaters with 7(a stat I think was hugely inflated for the pens)

SoG: Caps out shot again, this time by 4 after registering 34 SoG

People are stupid, a person is smart. This leads me to believe there must be at least one smart hockey fan in Philly.

actually, i thought the Pens did a lot of hitting tonight, so that may be accurate. Caps just did quality hits

What a dick. Get him back, Schultz!

I have a C on my heart.

Schultzie, I guess you just need to be able to shoot goals more often. That’s the best tonic for a struggling Plus/Minus.

unfortunately what the media will publish i feel will not be the story that should be. The story will read how a struggling Pens team with their back up goaltender aren’t firing on all cylinders. What should be written is about the fact that Washington actually can play D and how impressive their 2 ROOKIE DMEN performed under a real good pressure situation

It’s not like we had all our best players in either. Mike Green was missing. (And Varly’s been missing in action since the beginning of forever.)

Considering who/how many were missing, it’s a legitimate statement.

Take everything I said about swapping Steckel around. Phenomenal effort by all the lines, apart from a bad puck play from Theodore a great game from him and what performance from Alzner and Carlson. Thanks for allowing a goal from being out of position though Sloan!

The first one looks like he wants to sleep with my sister. The second looks like a hockey player.

Familiar Rapports: Bald Pollack, F&B, Gould Old Days.

Evgeny Kuznetsov hams it up as he joins the Russia men's national team for the "Sweden Games" leg of the Euro Hockey Tour in Helsinki, Finland.

There's a bit of controversy as their game against the Finns is scheduled to be played in Helsinki's outdoor Olympic Stadium. Where the daytime temps are currently approximately minus-15 degrees Celsius, with periodic heavy snow.

This interview with head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov is fascinating, as he frets about the weather and especially when the reporters press him on the leaked reports that Kuznetsov will be centering the top line for Team Russia, just weeks after his 20th birthday.
