so what would we have rather seen:
a) Ovie , a non-trained fighter, going up against a psychopath like downie. i’m afraid it might be either of the following:
i) semin bongos 2.0
ii) ovie lining up like steckel
iii) ovie getting his face mashed in/separating his shoulder/breaking his hand
iv) or the worst (maybe): ovie pulling a crosby and punching downie from behind to his balls
b) Brads doing a WWF imitation and jumping in. Would have been nice to see him bring a folding chair and whack downie across the face with it.
OR??
He could have fought him straight up like a man like Crosby did against Ference, McClain, Ballard and Zidlicky???
If Matt Cooke jumps in for Crosby, you people would be calling him Cindy and all that other crap but because your boy tries to act tough only to look over his shoulder praying to see one of your punching bags fighters coming, you think Matt Bradley is a hero. Which he is because we all know what the guy giving up 30lbs to Ovie would have done to him.

Guerin tried to jump in for Sid against Ballard, he just couldn’t get there in time. Do you really want to go down the honorable fighting road? Really? AO didn’t see Brads coming and was obviously willing to fight.

Anyways, you’re right he didn’t see Bradley coming….he just stood there and waited for him to get there. LOL I bet if Bradley didn’t jump in as he did Ovi would have “sized downey up” until someone did. Just a hunch. I will also vote that Ovi would have fought like Jizz and thrown flailling slaps until the refs got there to get his carcass off the ice.

YES, no doubt straight up…if you WATCHED that game Crosby asked him if he wanted to go McLean obliged and then for what ever reason didn’t drop the gloves as fast as Sid. The announcers even said prior to that fight something like “I think Crosby and McLean are going to go”. Puck drops, Sid drops them and McLean covers up like a vag.
We also forget about, I think it was Savard (definitely a Bruin) called Crosby a pussy and said he would fight him if he didnt have a visor on…start of the second here comes Crosby minus a little glass sheild…Savard cowards just like McLean tried to.

You can’t beat a team one time and start talking like it is what you do…“we” Pittsburgh own a lot of teams and history proves this. Unfortunately I had the pleasure of listening to this game on XM lastnight as I was driving up 95, and listening to it announced by the Lightning announcers. (Yawn..) I didn’t get to see this live.
Ovie probably would have been just fine, but its nice to see Brads stepping into the enforcer shoes a little bit. We need a bit of an ass kicking presence on the team.
Bolts banged up by Caps. Was it a knee or not? You’ll never know by reading this article.
Feel kinda bad, sort of, about the goalie/neck thing.
