Joe Finley...
listed as a Forward for rookie camp. I guess that almost answers the “future enforcer” question.
Uh, yeah. Though that was “Jeff” Finley, so maybe not the same guy. Ahem.

Well he played in a non-fighting league and then faced one of the top fighters in the AHL when he came up so I’m willing to cut him some slack. He has the size, toughness, and temperament to be a fighter so I’ll watch and see how it plays out.
A man must have a code.
George Parros played four years at Princeton and can handle himself alright nowadays, so you’re right that just b/c Joe’s an NCAAer doesn’t mean he can’t be an effective enforcer. But there’s gonna be more learning curve there than with a kid coming out of the CHL, you’d think.

There was a "future enforcer" question about Big Joe?
That’s surprising. I guess I missed it. But yeah, that caught my eye too. The Bears will have one of the largest and galumphiest F’s around. I am not optimistic.
a few notes when looking at the roster:
- 3 of the 8 dmen on the rookie camp roster are FA invites…combined with Finley listed as a forward…
- I do not see Dovgan listed on either roster; I’ve been wondering since he was not on the Stingrays playoff roster what was going to happen with him this season.
- FA invites to rookie camp: Ryan Jasinsky (USHL), Ryan Kerr (WHL), Aaron Dawson (CIS), Kevin Schmidt (NCAA)
- FA invites to training camp: Vladimir Denisov (AHL), Todd Ford (ECHL)
- As expected, all of the CHL junior players are on the rookie camp list, none of the NCAA or European unsigned players
- 20 skaters (12F/8D) plus 3 goalies on rookie camp roster
- 28 forwards on main camp roster
- 17 dmen on main camp roster
- 6 goalies across the 2 rosters
OT: yeah! someone figured out Kyle Wilson’s name was missing from the roster (or someone read my post at HFBs right after the release last night and told someone to fix it)
How much do tickets to preseason games tend to cost? Also, is the 9/19 practice/morning skate in Chicago or DC?

What I mean is, I could go to the morning skate on 9/19 if it was in DC. But since the game is in Chicago, I’m assuming (but not sure) that the morning skate would be in Chicago as well. And does anyone here have experience buying preseason tickets? They’re not for sale yet, but I was wondering how expensive they are.

OT- anybody else watching the Caps Bolts “Classic Series” on NHL Network? 2003 seems very far away.

A;nybody else going tomorrow morning?
The wife and I will be heading down to KCI – we’ll be there before 1000 hours.
I’ll be down presently, just leaving the house now.

Ryan Jasinski
Anyone know if he’s a Richmond, VA native or was he just born there? Curious if we have another local looking to make the team.
Jasinsky grew up in that area and played youth hockey for the Richmond Royals.
FYI, if you are interested in his background JP has posted a couple of articles about Jasinsky in the last few weeks.
