Any guesses on the D pairs? I’m going with Green/Schultz, Carlznerson, Collins/Erskine.

Actually, even with poor camera control, the resolution is very high. I was able to differentiate details better on his feed than I am on my analog cable broadcasts.

I’ve discovered a novel way to eff up replying; posting in a thread other than the intended. Consider the above a response to YNC’s FanShot.

The webcast link right now says “This game is not available in your area.” Can I expect this to go away once the game is actually starting? I’m in Seattle…

Is the video link working, yet, for anyone local?

Mine’s working. (I’m in Maryland) They just said who the linesman were, and now it’s just some interesting music and the Caps logo.
Am I greedy for wondering why I can only view the video in a tiny window?

Ah yes. Crappy picture at full screen though. Oh well.

Why? The feed from the caps website matches up perfect with the 1500 online stream and looks better than atdhe.

Mine is on the second…seriously perfect. Guess I got lucky.

Try updating your flash player. Caps site works best in IE.

It apparently also works best in DC and the surrounding area.

Seems that its my internet provider. I have FIOS. When I am connected to a neighbors wireless I can get it.
Someone on the sabres got caught admiring a pass and paid for it.

extended PP time has to please Bruce from a training standpoint.

Some may be interested to know that atdhe.net put up another link, which is working for me even though the other one wasn’t.

1st goal I wondered why , with the shot coming from center ice, Theodore was in the left half of the net.
01-20-13...the end of an error
1st goal looked (em) like a deflection, typical d breakdown on the 2nd.

Gotta make a propitiatory sacrifice to the merciless Gods of Hockey before saying that...
…if Knuble stays healthy this year, he could get 35 goals this year.
cheap goal but that makes up for a couple of those goldplated chances that somehow stayed out.
on that note, bourque’s gotta bury ‘em when he’s in tight.
His first few shifts looked decent though. He seemed to have some good energy and was forechecking well (Atleast from what I saw).
Anyone can have good energy and fore-check well though. I know what you’re saying but he’s gotta be better once the puck is coughed up and bouncing or all the hard fore-checking is worthless.

Looked to me like Aucoin shot it intended to get a deflection. It looked like he aimed it at another body
Thought he was shooting for the far corner and it bounced in off a defender’s skate?
As I noted, it was a cheapie, but they had some bad breaks on nice plays, so I’ll take it. They could easily have 4-5 goals at this point
Thought the first goal was just a deflection and Theo was out of position (don’t know if the two are related).
Second goal they just coughed it up behind the net and didn’t tie up the guy in the slot. Sloppy play, there.
Theo was caught off guard, too. It was just kinda ugly all around.

Not only bury ‘em, but he’s got to be the setup man if that’s the sitch. He’s kinda blah thus far, tonight.

Schultz just took a one-timer?!
What is the world coming to???

I’ll admit, I wasn’t a Schultz fan last year, but his preseason has me happy. He’s being a bit more physical and he’s actually taking shots.

I’m not going to risk the debates that we get into about Schultz, but you’ll find that most of us like and appreciate Schultz’s contributions. I’m a Schultz fan, and I’m not ashamed to say it.

I like Schultzie, too. I know that most people here appreciate him, but they’re just brutal over at CI. They just do those stupid act-like-they’re-surprised crap. “Schultz blocked a shot? Really?” I think people should listen to BB and just chill. I think after Game 1 against the Rangers was when they really went batshit with everything. They ’re really keen on the Alz/Carlson for Schultz idea.
Finally home. Great feed, crisp audio. (Well done, Stretch and crew!)
Just in time to see the end of the second. Sounds like it’s been an exciting contest so far.. looking forward to the third. =)

First 30 minutes kinda sucked for the Caps…couldn’t get anything going, forecheck producing nothing, turnovers, etc.
They turned it up several notches since then. Doubt they lose at this rate.
Theo’s been a bit of a puzzle – made some nice stops, very nice rebound control, but I thought he looked scrambly on the goals. Just my initial impression, though – haven’t seen the replay.
I’m quite impressed with Carlson. He hasn’t really had a chance to be “Green,” yet, but neither has Green. He’s much thicker than I imagined him (though I wish he’d tuck in his jersey), and he’s quick for a kid his age in this league.
He’s made a very good 1st impression on me.

Carlson’s making it pretty easy, and it’s mainly because of his speed and size. I haven’t had much chance to see his hands or shot, yet, though.

P.S. Corey appears to have some good Sarge quotes for an article tomorrow.

They know what they need to do in practice.

So was that a good lineup by Buffalo or not? They have like 9 4th line players naturally so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to think.
Comment first, think second, read third.
They had about 4 AHLers in their lineup. I was more-so taking a jab at them because sans Vanek and Miller the are rolling 4 lines of 4th line guys.
