Bummed about Eakin, would have loved to see him in a game but the others i’m not too suprised with.

Eakin was nowhere near ready to be playing a game against NHL competition, even pre-season. Playing him would have been a waste of a spot to evaluate a guy that could be ready now.

Fair enough. I think 6th round is a bit late for a guy with that kind of talent, but he was drafted before his two huge years so it’s not a complete shafting. In three years I wouldn’t be shocked to see him on the Caps.

I hope the kids (who were just cut) have learned enough so they’ll look better in juniors next year (and for the Caps in future years).

We do like Eakin. Must admit, I do like the Kuger even if he may have gotten winded in practice a bunch.

according to Tarik’s twitter, Greg Amadio and Bryan Helmer (who looked to be the second happiest guy on the ice the first day of camp) have both been sent back to Hershey Friday evening.
