I mean, I guess Pothier’s a guy that he wouldn’t cry if he lost him, but he just signed Erskine to that extension in the not-to-distant past, and he’s stepped up his game since then, so…

Some of his information is bad. Theodore is making 4.5 million this year, not $5.3 million and I don’t see any way the Capitals are at $59+ on the cap, as examples.

Even with the bad information I applaud the Columbus Dispatch for going as far as they did…especially when one thinks of the previews our local papers, in a much larger market, put together last season

They’re over the cap if you include the $2.45 million in bonuses to Alzner and Backstrom. Take those out and they’re actually about $900,000 under. Of course, with the cap probably falling next season, McPhee is more than likely unwilling to defer that bonus money.
