So I guess that means no rookie game at Kettler this year? Boo to that.
Any truth to the rumor that Vorhees, NJ is near Jason, NJ?

Question: Is Varly still enough of a rookie to be in net for the Caps at the rookie game?
IS PAЯTY NOW
Typically a player with NHL experience does not dress for the scrimmages against another NHL organization’s rookies even if they are participating in rookie camp. For a recent example, see that Giroux, Downie and Parent did not dress for the Flyers last summer in the scrimmage against the Caps rookies. I believe this was actually agreed to, but I don’t recall if it is an actual rule NHL wide or something the two teams in question actually agree to in these cases when they agree to the event.
OT: I know the Traverse City tournament, which includes 8 teams this year, has specifics in the rules about how many players with pro experience can play in the tourney. And there is a birthyear/age requirement although goalies can be older, IIRC.
So Monday is Labor Day...
Which means I have off (and I almost never have off on weekdays when the Caps are doing something interesting).
Can anyone fill me in on what, if anything, the rookies will be taking part in on the first day? Or are they just unpacking, getting gear, in meetings, etc.?
