Agreed
Yeah, hes still a kid. But he also needs to act proffessional. Taking the summer off is ok, but at some point he needs to get back into hockey, and stop being a celebrity
Fehr is fair, but I like Laich
Seriously? Him being in shape and prepared for the season is not mutually exclusive with him doing some BS guest appearance as a chef. His off-season work outs aren’t going to get a lot of attention but I’m more than willing to bet he shows up to camp in peak shape.

Come on now. How does one make the leap from guest chef at a restaurant to unprofessional? People need to relax and not act so old/curmudgeny.

Seriously. What more could anyone want out of the man than what he’s already given us?
I propose this rule to cover the Ambassador: Criticism may commence the day he gives sub-par performance, and not before.

Its about this big, by this big… and its got Jacques Plante’s name misspelled on it 5 times. But I have no problem with him playing Gordon Ramsey for a night.

Yes. The Cup is an individual award. AO just didn’t try hard enough/perform well enough for him to bring home the Cup. If only he were a better hockey player, like, say, Max Talbot, the Caps would have raised the Cup. I say we trade AO for a package of players: Max Talbot, Matt Cooke, Travis Moen, Kent Huskins, George Parros, Todd Marchant, and Chris Draper. Sure, it might be messy what with a whole bunch of different teams being involved, but I’m sure GMGM could make it worth it. Afterall, we’d have a whole bunch of Cup rings on the roster if we did that (and a couple guys that fight!).

My bad. It generally pisses me off when people conflate Cup success with individual success/skill. It’s one of the most egregious errors you can make, IMO. And I haven’t had any coffee yet.

And Dan Marino sucked.

Okay. I rescind my previous gripe. The Ambassador gives his all to everything to which he turns his attention. Maybe I’ve just seen too many pix of Crosby at Olympics camp today.
And maybe I should go start packing for my own vacation now. I’ll miss much of the Russian camp while in O Canada, but hopefully the Rink will stand watch.

I was very much hoping you’d be able to go and report back to us.

I like this.
The NHL needs as much exposure as it can possibly get, and if AO is the league celebrity, all the better. We all complain about the waddle-bird’s young captain as being excessively promoted as the face of the league, so in that respect alone, isn’t it nice to see our superstar get some coverage?
I’ll have to send this information to my brother. He’s a chef in Manhattan.
