Brooks on Brash
Larry Brooks calls one of the newest Rangers each of the following: thug, headhunte, bully and oafish fourth-liner. Should be a fun couple of seasons in the Big Apple!

Just from reading the fanshot headline, I was wondering what Brooks Laich would say about Brashear’s departure
Laich and I aren’t on a first-name basis.

It never ceases to amaze me how some Rags fans can so staunchly defend Avery (he of the butt-end to the face, stick to the throat, etc.) and yet get so bent out of shape over someone like Brash making a (borderline) late hit.
Ok, maybe I’m giving them too much credit, but still…

The only reason Larry Brooks is relevant in New York...
…is because another website (named after Mono-Sodium Glutimate, presumably) gives a platform to Stan Fischler.
Brooks did forget the obvious if he believes that Brash’s mission has been to destroy Rangers over the past few years… for the cost of 1.4M, the Rangers have prevented another “mugging” of a Ranger player by Brash…
Agree, this will be very interesting to watch.
Let's go Caps!
Actually,
Giambi went back to Oakland and is now teammates with Pukey*. But I get your point.
- Pukey is somewhat of an inside joke. Anyone who looks at Oakland’s roster should get what I mean (hint- he’s a sucky infielder).
ZING! ZANG! ZUNG!
Even though I like Brash a lot and am sad to see him go, and even though I think he’ll be well received in the Rangers’ locker room, I sympathize with all the Rags fans lamenting this signing. I can’t stand when GMs sign a hated foe, I think it degrades a fan’s connection to the team — even if it is just business. I just plain didn’t like rooting for Jagr, even when he scored. I didn’t like rooting for Deion Sanders. I can’t imagine how rooting for Johnny Damon isn’t soul-destroying for Yankees fans (well, maybe the answer to that is self-evident). Knuble doesn’t fit this bill, neither did Robert Lang when he came over — it’s not signing a player from a hated team that’s the problem, it’s signing a player you’ve learned to loathe.
Oh, and I also thought you were referring to our Brooks, JP.
