As J.P. linked to in the Wednesday Caps Clips, the Coyotes are looking for a new rival over at Five for Howling.

We've already got established hatred for Pittsburgh and Philly, with a slightly lesser Carolina rivalry. But it's a pretty interesting idea. If the Caps had a Northeast Division or Western Conference rival, who would it be?

All three Western teams we face twice in '09-'10 make good contenders. San Jose gave us a spank last season, Columbus shut us out twice, and Detroit destroyed our dreams the only time we ever made it to the Finals.

Northeast is a bit more hazy. I always enjoy when we play the Senators, since D.C. and Ottawa are both overshadowed capital cities. Sens fans have a lot in common with Caps fans.
