Dean Arsene signs with Edmonton/Springfield
With Lepisto, Kronwall and Arsene now all headed west, the Bears blueline continues to get less crowded (and experienced).

Wow. Well, honestly, as sad as I am to see him go, we need more space on the Hershey blueline. Arsene’s gone, Kronwall’s gone, Lepisto is gone, and I don’t know if Helmer is going to resign or not. That leaves some space in Hershey.

Helmer should be back, but otherwise yeah that’s some space.
I will say I’d much rather have Arsene in Hershey than Sloan or Collins (even if those two are better callup options) for his vet presence and effectiveness at the AHL level.
Hershey’s depth chart on the blueline isn’t all that impressive right now, frankly, at least IMO. It’s something like:
Helmer
Carlson
Sloan
McNeill
Collins
Godfrey
Amadio
Finley
Wellar
Dovgan
and if they’re signed
Orlov
Seabrook
To me that’s somewhat lacking, but I guess it all depends on how the young guys develop.
