That’ll be interesting when he walks into the room to meet Dubinsky, eh?

Too much info bouncing around today.

Well, that’s not at all what I expected.
I think it may be an interesting sign about where Washington is headed, vs. where NYR is headed. And I’m happier to be on our side of that equation. (This assumes, of course, that GMGM doesn’t go out and buy a replacement enforcer, which I sure hope he doesn’t.)
Good for Donald, but seems like too much for a 4th liner at his age

sometimes I find it's better to be somebody else
Yes, he’d have to accept the fight, but lets talk about it over beers watching Caps hockey in May 2010.
How about June?

How about June? ;)
I went out on a limb that Brashear and Bradley would not have the opportunity to meet in June
(barring any parking lot fisticuffs on personal time).
During the regular season there isn’t enough on the line or enough to prove between these two teams that most likely neither player would feel the need to accept a fight when the other wanted one until post-season. Doesn’t speak for the unexpected or someone having something to prove though
Christ, TSN’s McKenzie just reported that David freakin’ Koci just got a deal with COL. 1 yr/$575K.
Orr, Brashear, Laperriere, Koci. So much for the one-dimensional enforcer role going away. I was never really in that camp anyway, but these contracts plus the PA not approving the staged fight rule change at the recent Vegas meetings speaks volumes.
And...
Wasn’t it just last week GMGM pointed out he thought the price for “tough guys” was going down? By my mathmatecial understanding 1.4>1 …
Interestingly, Brash doesn’t fit the Rangers usual tough guy profile Fotiu, Orr, etc… he plays more than 2 min per game and he can skate….
Good for Brash, a good deal for a good guy.
