wait, what am i missing here? how can a player “just leave and sign with another team” if he’s under contract? (assuming GMGM isn’t talking about the KHL.)
I don’t think he was referring to anything that’s technically possible. Or maybe he’s using hyperbole and saying that trading him now is so difficult, that pulling off something prohibited by the CBA would be easier. I wouldn’t read much into it other than GMGM saying that Heater’s being a douche.

i thought he was referring to leaving in the sense of not signing the contract extension with the Sens. He re-upped last year, right?
Because now I can justify browsing and commenting during the work day with the argument that I am promoting my business.
