The tone of Malamud’s post was a bit off-putting, but I whole-heartedly favor the organization and its media being at the forefront of this. I’m sure Russian and Eastern European names are mispronounced all over the league.

I dunno, I kinda like Slava’s tongue-firmly-in-cheek writing style, but to each his own. The whole pronunciation debate just makes me think of the pronunciation scene in “Young Frankenstein” with Dr. Fronkenshteen and Eyegore.
