link to the video that brashear mentions near the bottom of page 4.
here’s the passage from mike wise’s story:
Today, Brashear maintains his own Web site that documents his fights. It includes videos of many of them, including one entitled, “Don Delivers A Beatdown,” a malicious free-for-all in a semi-pro game. “That’s not who I am,” Brashear said, adding that he is taking steps to remove it from the site. “I didn’t want to fight any of those guys, but managers [of teams] paid them money to fight me. They just kept pushing me and pushing me.”
and this is how the video is introduced on brashear’s personal website:
Watch this video of Don handing out a beat down. Poor guy! :)
Also not sure what to make of this — McKenna from the CityPaper claims that Brash told him that he’s always wanted to be a fighter.

This article made me angry at his fathers. The fact that any “man” could do things like this to a child is beyond me. It was also terrifically ironic (in a sick, sad sort of way) when they interviewed his father and the guy said he couldn’t watch hockey because it’s too violent.
It’s uplifting though that he was able to be a professional athlete and get out of that situation. I just hope he can continue doing good things after his hockey career is over.
