We play our best when we're just flying around. We're an aggressive team by nature, and it's sort of a high-risk high-reward kind of a game sometimes. And with us, we're playing better when we're buzzing. I absolutely would expect that, and it seems like every elimination game we really figure out, this is it, so we show up.

Does this strike anyone else as an implicit acknowledgment that the team doesn’t show up for every game? Ugh.
and i guess my concern would be that at some point, when you keep needing to roll the 7, you don’t. hopefully we will.

It is disheartening, for sure, which is partly why I put it up for discussion.

I remember last year I commented during a Caps-Flyers playoff game: “Hey look, they’re playing Caps-style hockey!”
Someone responded: “So, is that good or bad?”
Let’s play the Good Caps-style flying around hockey tonight, not the bad one.
And let’s not forget, per Daryl Reaugh, the Power Play acts as a laxative for our offense.
Apparently we aren’t the only team with this…um…issue.
