There is one more Mike Green Edition Stealth in existence: the one he used to set the NHL record for consecutive games with a goal by a defenseman earlier this season.
That stick was earmarked for the Hockey Hall of Fame. But I'm hearing the stick could be back in Green's hands on Wednesday.

Epic!
The caps really need some extra luck, and if reuniting Green with that stick provides some extra juju I’m all for it.
I dont’ believe in those kinda things, but if Green does and it will help him get his mojo back, then hell yeah!
Obviously the key is Wednesday, but without my certain favorite brand and model of running shoes, I’m running slower, no doubt.

“Pick me out a winner Bobby.”
"Serious question: Is Ovie going to demand a trade if they lose this series? Any chance of this?"

This could become the stuff of legend.
“Green goes to the Hall of Fame for stick, scores winning goal!”
Arthurian Legend rears its fascinatingly ugly head, yet, again.

Question, why did they discontinue the sticks and why can’t he get them to specially make some for him? I’d say it’s worth the money if he can get it done.
Those stealth sticks were old a year ago. There are new ones, I don’t get why they can’t be made to similar specifications.
All high end sticks (with some exception) are generally the same.
I’m not sure what stick Green is using now, but if it’s the S17, that’s just a Stealth with a new sticker put on it.
I believe the S17 is heavier than the Stealth. It’s not that Green can’t adapt, it’s that this is the wrong time for him to adapt.

Does getting his old stick back mean no more brain-dead passes? He’s been atrocious in both the NYR and Pens serious in that regard.
I bought two of Green’s sticks during the ‘07 summer equipment sale. I’d give one back to him but a) they’re both pretty badly used and b) he changed to a deeper curve in ‘08, so the ’07 model wouldn’t be of much help.
That said, I’ve always wondered how Green plays defense (and gets off a decent backhand) with such a curved blade. “Elite NHL hands” is the only thing I could think of.
Penguins Believe In Satan
Ok. So it’s a reference to Miroslav Satan…but I had to laugh at that title. :0)

I can honestly say, as a 22 year old (and I remember vividly the ’98 playoffs), that this is the most important playoff series of my life.
I have never felt so attached to one team. And I would never in a million years trade this team for a different team. God bless the Washington Capitals. Tonight will end like it should – us celebrating in unsafe ways, Penguins’ fans ruminating about another a trip to Washington.
