Ovechkin Talks Smack on King Henrik
"He won three games and I think it's nuts for him," Ovechkin said Monday. "He can't win every game like that if the team doesn't help him. It's going to be hard for him to stop the puck and have some opportunities and some luck -- and I think he knows that, too. If we're going to play the same way, probably they won't have many chances to win the game."-nhl.com

I don’t think the Rangers need anymore motivation. Everyone up here in NYC wants Sather to blow up the team. If they can’t play for themselves and need a comment from the opposition to get them jacked for Game 7, we’ve got nothing to worry about.

My feelings too, but AO is just a different breed of player. In a way it’s refreshing that he doesn’t fall into the same old cliches like another certain player I won’t mention. Still, sometimes less is better.
On the one hand, the Caps are looking like a big ol’ jet engine that is finally starting to settle into a power groove, while the Rangers look like a blown out 2-stroke outboard that is missing on a couple cylinders. This thing could be over before it really gets started on Tuesday.
On the other hand, things generally don’t come that easy in hockey. So it might well be a gut-wrencher.
No sense tempting fate, is my theory. But as you say, AO is a different breed of cat.
things don’t come easy for this Caps team when they start thinking they’re better than the opponent. but i am a worrier, too.
