Considering some of the shenanigans which occurred around the Verizon Center ice, I'd like to get a couple of things off my chest, based on what I heard (and saw) tonight, if you'll indulge me.
A) Booing a power play opportunity, when the home team is LEADING, borders on classless. If you hear it around you, politely inform them that this particular opponent killing the penalty is kind of good at it. And then point to the scoreboard and politely tell them to be quiet, until they're given a reason to boo.
B) This goes back to last year, but trash and food thrown at players and personnel is moronic. I'm sorry, but you lose the argument about "Philthy" fans and "Rags" fans' behavior the moment that happens. Point out the guilty parties to ushers so they can be shown the door and (hopefully) never return until they either behave themselves or not grow ten feet tall after a few overpriced arena lagers. Considering Bruce Boudreau has one more road game to coach in this series, you've just guaranteed he's got to bring his rain gear when he's on the bench. Smart.
Please to return to your regularly scheduled dose of intellect.
