"I know Michael Nylander comes in, slows down, backs up and goes slow, but with all that rhythm I know exactly what he's trying to do," Brodeur said.

Perhaps Marty would be better served scouting other players…

How many shootout shots has Nylander even taken for us?

Thanks for the fixed link…the fanshot link posting syntax is fairly odd. Then again, I’m an idiot.

And according to NHLshootouts.com, Nylander took 1 last season and 3 so far this season.

Hmm…I don’t remember 3 (only 1 actually), but I’m sure it’s possible. Anyone know if he made any of them?

According to this:
He was 1-3. I know the goal was against Nashville. I don’t recall the misses, though…probably because I hate shootouts and don’t pay attention to them all that closely :P

I’m not a fan of shootouts either, although I’ve yet to hear a better solution to NOT having tie games (which I’m also not a fan of) during the regular season.
I forgot about Nylander’s goal during the Nashville game, but that was probably because I wasn’t able to go to that game and, thanks to a Versus TV blackout that night, was forced to listen on the radio.
