Now that atdhe.net is down
My best viewing option for the Caps was atdhe.net. Now that's gone away, it appears. Which sucks so hard I can't tell you.
Can anyone out there help a brother out and let me know a site that streams the video of the Caps games? I know I can always pick up the radio feed, but watching the action is so much more rewarding...
Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice and assistance that can be rendered here.

I realize this is probably not the goal, but the NHL.com Gamecenter service is pretty good. It costs money though, and local games/nationally televised games get blacked out.
exactly what i was going to post.
and if that doesn’t work for you…try the good ol’ google for hockey bars…i’ve found some amazing places in non hockey cities to watch games while on TDY.
If anyone is ever in the San Diego you’ve got to check out Stouts on 4th avenue…by far one of the best irish pubs i’ve ever been too….owned by two english (i know) guys from vancouver…great cheap food and hockey 24/7.
BTW, when I say “local games,” I mean local to where you live. I’m in NYC, so I can’t watch Rags/Isles/Devils games on there, but I can watch every (televised) Caps home game or non-national game against any of the other teams.
It has some other cool features too – you can get alternate camera angles, alternate audio feeds, etc. when they’re available. The quality is good, depending on your connection speed. Definitely better than the free streams you will find on atdhe or anywhere else.
Sometimes, if you're lucky
channelsurfing.net might have some of the games. Nothing near atdhe’s quality though.
RIP Atdhe
It looks like they just took down all the hockey games because I can still watch soccer and basketball…but the Caps games were the only reason I’d use it.
Try this website and around game time, there should be a ‘hockey’ category on the left sidebar. Its usually more reliable when the Caps play against a quality opponent (i.e. PHI, PIT, NYR, BOS, SJ, DET, etc…)

is this official? i see there are no NHL games up at the moment, but that happened once last week and then the bruins game was available.
stuck in chicago (and often stuck at my work computer), ATDHE has been a godsend.
an answer to my own comment..
came across this link from motherpucker.ca which should make it pretty clear that this is not a fluke…the NHL has its legal guns out:
This isn’t exactly a solution, since I know we’re looking for free ideas here…but there are two options…
1) NHL GameCenter. Yeah, it’s pricey, and you can only watch the Caps games if you’re out-of-market, but I’m assuming if you can’t watch on CSN or make it to the Booth, then you’re out of market. Pros? Get to watch a lot of other games. Cons? I don’t think that every game is available. Also, it cost $$$ and needs to be renewed each year.
2) Slingbox. Know anyone who does live in the area, and doesn’t mind having a TV tuned to the caps games? You could use a slingbox to stream the game to yourself. Pros? 1-time cost only, and pretty good quality—plus it’s yours to use at any time…not just for Caps hockey. Cons? need to have it set up somewhere that is broadcasting game to watch it remotely. I actually own one of these and use it watch games when I’m out of town—plus I use it all the time for other stuff as well.
Again, no free solutions here…just suggestions…sorry. I loved atdhe.net as well for watching other-than-caps games. I might just get a gamecenter accnt now that they’ve dropped the price a little.
