A chance to embarrass Wizards fans
It's rare that we at Japers' Rink ask you for anything, but this is one of those times. I'll cut to the chase - we've been challenged somewhat indirectly by SB Nation's Wizards blog Bullets Forever to see whose readers can do a better job filling out college hoops brackets at Comcast.com (you may have seen the ads on the site). More importantly than helping defend our honor, however, you can win a bunch of free stuff. Here's what you need to do:
1) Go here and register.
2) Click the "Interact" tab in the menu. Click "Groups."
3) Click "Join Public Group"
4) Type "Japers' Rink" into search engine, or just scroll down.
5) Join our team, and make your picks on Sunday or Monday or whenever.
6) Win stuff and laugh at other people.
Really, it's a win-win. And if you don't sign up, the free content stops. Just kidding. Sorta. Just go do it and embarrass all the other local teams. Cheers.

Ha! Trick's on you.
The Wizards are 15-51, we can’t be embarrassed anymore than we already are.

Psh, I say we challenge them to a dance off.

I was going to say something bad about the Buzzards, but damn, 15-51. How in the hell do you maintain a blog about a horrible team going nowhere with no prospects? Whomever is running that blog has some serious intestinal fortitude get up and care every day. Hats off.
Russian Machine Never Breaks
I went to the game tonight and I’d have to disagree with you on the ‘no prospects’ part…JaVale McGee (2008 1st round) and Nick Young (2007 1st round) looked pretty impressive. Young dropped 20 and McGee played solid against Superman. Even Javaris Crittenton (2007 1st round, aquired in trade) had 10 and 7 in 28 minutes off the bench.
We bought Eagle’s Nest tickets for just $12 and moved down to the club level. I miss doing this at Caps games :(

I remember getting Eagle’s Nest tickets and moving lower as well. Those were the days. Oh well, I’ll take a winning team and sell-outs over cheap tickets and Jagr any day of the week.

As weird as it sounds
I’d actually be very interested in doing a Frozen Four bracket. I’ve always wanted to get more into college hockey, but it’s hard to find a lot of games on basic cable.

Put another way, a chance to pick Duke to lose in the first round of a tournament.

OH…I’M ALL OVER THIS!
Actually, my brackets usually do quite poorly…I always pick WVU to win…but I think THIS is the year…

If we beat the Wizards group head to head...
will the Wizards go somewhere else and stop messing up the VC ice?

Hrm
Why does a hockey blog have the largest # of “fans” (members) for public groups in a bracket challenge.
