The result? Caps 3, Thrashers 1, and the Swedes were the story of the game, with Nylander (the center) scoring a power play goal at 10:41 assisted by Backstrom (playing wing).
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Nylander
Now Nylander is on Backstrom's wing. Let's hope the result is another 3-1 win for the Caps.
By the way, looking back at that old October 5, 2007 box score, it's amazing that only two players who played for the Caps in that game have departed: Olaf Kolzig and Matt Pettinger.
