…Devils suck?

I always have a hard time getting psyched about playing the Devils, but I think the good guys win tonight.

Nice Rolling Stones reference, btw.

I actually like those forward lines pretty well. Not sure I love Schultz/Jurcina, but I guess you can’t always love your 3rd D pairing.

by grapejoos on Feb 3, 2009 6:42 PM EST up reply actions

Specifically, I like the Laich-Backs-Semin line. Putting Semin with 2 guys who can do productive things in the offensive zone without the puck is probably a good idea, given him MJ-like puck-hogging tendencies.

Well, the 52 hook was in a reasonable place. I don’t know if it was exactly a hook either, was it? More like a mugging.

by TylerG on Feb 3, 2009 8:50 PM EST up reply actions

Not really reasonable. He didn’t do anything to the player, just barely hooked him – he didn’t even affect the guys shot and it was his fault the scoring chance even happened because he botched up a clearing attempt and coughed up the puck where he had 5 seconds to get rid of the puck.

Two points always feels good.

I have as many wins in a Capitals uniform as Michael Belhumeur does.

SPG Results

capsfan01111, juangonzalez, zachhubbard all tied with 1 point.

Everyone else got screwed by 2ndary scoring.

Pick SPG for your chance to win probably nothing.

I give it to Fehr or Gordo. Laich was great early, too.

2. Star – the snowy conditions that kept a lot of Devils fans at home?

Football's boring. Get over it.
