"Nashville sends Radek Bonk and Greg Zanon to Washington for Oskar Osala and Sami Lepisto."

Do you think Alan Muir> can hook us up with his dealer? [Ed. note: Muir's suggestion for a trade that should happen.]

Yeah, I’m having trouble following Muir’s logic that the Capitals have depth issues at center. Plus, I think Osala’s such a rare commodity, I wouldn’t want to trade him unless it were for a real bigtime player.

I think the Caps do have depth issues at center, but Bonk won’t solve that. Backstrom is our only legit top 6 center. Fedorov can be but his age is quickly catching up to him. If Nylander could be a top 6 center for us he would have proven it while Feds was hurt. Kozlov and Laich can take faceoffs and stop gap as a center but are by no means long term solutions at that problem. As far as 3/4 center we are fine with Steckel and Gordon, Bonk would just be another checking line center. This trade is just dumb. There is no way we give up a top prospect for depth players.

If Nyls was moved for a top player or something, I wouldn’t cry about this one. Lepisto is turning into a tweener, and Osala could be a star, but we can’t afford to keep everyone.

Can't we get Chris Bourque a red jersey now? Thanks.
