That kinda stinks. He’s been through some of the roughest seasons in Caps history, and since the turnaround, he will have missed both playoff series we’ve had since the lockout.

I have as many wins in a Capitals uniform as Michael Belhumeur does.

I feel bad for him, but I feel great for Neuwirth. Gonna be fun to see him stick around for a bit. If he falters, Hell, trade for Weekes or someone, but yeah, I think we’ll be ok.

Agreed with you, marky narc, and I think he may end up missing four series this year. Bummer.

I don’t feel bad for him, but that’s just me.

I was ~~hoping~~ thinking he wouldn’t be back next year anyway and this injury just gives the front office a better chance to see what the kids can do against NHL talent to make that decision even easier this summer.

Well if it wasn’t crystal clear before this, I think Caps are now obligated to go after a good back up heading into the stretch. I love the G prospects we have, but that’s what they are right now—prospects. I just don’t see GMGM going too long before he makes a move here.
