PrintOk everyone, let's get prepared for the homestretch before the game. Game time is 8:30-10 PM at KCI. Below is the checklist and expected attendance.
Everyone bring: $25, A dark jersey and a white jersey; a water bottle; whatever equipment you think you need to wear.
Hitting: no kill shots, nothing out of control, nothing that could get someone hurt. Take a few minutes to figure out where the competitive level is at before you take the body; try to just play physical with people in your own skill set.
Coaches: WM and ...
Players: Me, DMG, JordanDC, Sct112, D’ohboy, DrinkingPartner, Highslot84, AmkCaps, bigmac1124, Scofield, Chris meet Alex, C-A-P-S Caps Caps Caps, Panic13, Winterion. Dociavelli is also playing. Then we have 4-5 lurker types. If I forgot anyone I apologize and let me know.

Gah. My bad. I was pretty sure I forgot someone. I tried to go back through my emails but I guess I missed a couple. Looks like we’ll have a solid 20 guys (and a gal).

Also among the lurker ranks, and looking forward to the game. I haven’t played in a couple weeks, between holidays and other schedule conflicts. It’s making me twitchy.

I think people are showing up around 3:30. I’m guessing Caps gear will be heavily represented, but I’m not sure that will help. I’ll have a Colgate hat on, which will probably be the only Colgate gear in the whole building. Not sure if the lovely Rabbits are going to figure out a way to make us more noticeable.

There’s a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless, that my Bourque jersey arrives before Saturday. It shipped UPS yesterday but doesn’t look like it’s moved yet, as I don’t have an arrival/departure scan in the tracker yet. If it doesn’t arrive in time for the game, I’ll be one of dozens in Red 8, but if I play for the white team, I’ll just wear my Greenberg 18 Chiefs jersey, I suppose.

Having just finished seasonal work for a company very very similar to UPS (And maybe it was UPS, but maybe not) yeah, probably. A ton of back log, and the company actually offered me a job to keep going, but I declined.

I’ve had nothing but problems with UPS since I moved back into the area a few years ago. Just recently, they delivered one box of a two-box shipment and held the other hostage at their awful UPS HQ for three days for no reason.. then they failed to deliver a 2nd day package on the 2nd day because of a “missing or incorrect apartment number on package” which was clear as day on the front of the package when it was delivered two days late.

My first exposure to it was actually at the coaching certification in order to coach squirts. The instructor played it without comment, laughed with us all, and then said, “Yeah, so… even when you want to do that, you probably shouldn’t…”

Giant pile of awesome out there everyone. I think I left my shorts on the ice after a few of those shifts. FnB, thanks for making this happen.
I need to learn how to play on ice, specifically shooting and stopping. Felt pretty comfortable out there otherwise, passing and moving around. All helpers, no goals, so no opportunity to jump back-first into the boards. Maybe next time. =)

Trust me, 17 has it’s advantages. I’m 41, and am just hoping I can get out of bed in the morning. (I wasn’t in the picture, but I was the one trying to keep up with everyone. I was in a white Caps practice jersey then switched to an all black jersey midway through)
