Brendan Morrison's nifty game-winner most certainly deserves its own FanShot.

in the moments immediately after (and even as the play developed), the two of them must have thought back to this shot and save from a few weeks ago. it’s as if BMO said to himself, “if i ever get that chance again, i’m breaking out the between-the-legs move.”

B-Mo’s goal is No. 4 on today’s SportCenter Top 10 plays of the day. No. 3 is an NBA player with a dunk, No. 2 is a different NBA player with a dunk. Because, you know, you just don’t see enough of that in the NBA.
No. 1 was actually pretty good — NCAA game where the guy dribbled the length of the floor and threw up a circus shot to win the game.
From when? I associate that move with Lemieux.
In an ideal world all ten fingers would be on my left hand so my right hand could just be a fist for punching.

I’d have said “Lemieux style,” but B-Mo and Bure share the Vancouver connection.

Second game I’ve been at where that move scored. The other time it was Malik.

Best part is BMo roofed it with authority. Did Mailk’s have anything on it? I tried it today and almost nipped the tenders.

oh yeah malik’s hit the roof. i prefer malik’s, personally, since it came in full stride and olie was in position.

In game move always more impressive than shoot out move. BMo thought of it on the fly, pulled it off, and had to worry about D potentially stopping him. Malik had 13 rounds to think about how he could try some slick shit if it came to that.

i don’t know. you’re prob right, but malik’s move was more fluid and i give extra points to the clumsy 6’6’’ Dman who ended the game and cleared the benches. BMo had a good amount of time, a much bigger window, and that was just about the only way he could get under the puck from his angle, so to a certain degree for a vet like morrison that’s an instinctual play.

Malik’s move was definitely more fluid and smoothly executed.

Malik’s came in a skills competition.
Similarly impressive: J.R. Rider’s “East Bay Funk Dunk” in the 1994 NBA dunk competition, Josh Hamilton’s 28 longballs in round 1 of the 2008 HR derby, and all of these. F Marek Malik.

Additionally, this HQ quality version is captured from the CSN HD broadcast of the game with Joe B and Locker announcing team – capture includes the play in real time followed by replays.
I swapped that one in – thanks!

Sweet, and thank you! Standing offer: I DVR each Caps game, so if there is ever something you or your team would like to have captured, send an email to the address in my profile. Limited DVR space allows for the storage of the past four to five games, and the quality of the captures will of course be dictated by the HD or SD broadcast feed.
