mmmm FRESHHHH THREADDDDD
I lived with a blind guy for a while, then he figured it out and demanded back rent.
yay, new thread! It’s like freshly fallen snow, all pristine and shit.
Fun fact: A popular opinion can still be stupid.
Wow…great hyped period lives up to it, but every goal had a sense of strangeness around it.
Still…Luongo will tune it up between periods!
We hope…

once again, for anyone who's interested

no waiting period over there. just do the acceptance thingy and you’re in.

Anyone watching the Wizards on CSN+ during intermission? I don’t think I’ve seen broadcast quality this bad since watching west coast games on HTS on bootlegged cable.

Funny you ask Red, I came across this quote the other day from a 1950s copy of the Montreal Gazette that Bruce said about Rocket Richard after he ran one of his players.
“Please, the guy’s got one goal in six years. He couldn’t play in the American League,” Boudreau told the Monreal Gazette. “I’ve faced Maurice Richard an awful lot, he might be a nice guy, I have no idea. I’m glad he’s making a living, but if this is any game, he gets on the ice for the first three minutes, he gets into his fight with the guy and then he sits at the end of the bench, so what good is he?”

Hey Rink Rats!
Are you feeling chilly this stormy winter evening? I’d like to recommend a holiday classic drink sure to warm you up!
The KFH Holiday Special:
1 part vodka
I recommend many of these…once of every time you hear the Vancouver fans saying “Louuuu” and you want to make a “Boo-urns” connection is a good pace to start. Throw in a good plastic-tipped cigar (preferably Swisher Sweet or Black & Mild) and you’re set!

Don’t care about Olympic hockey, period. Needs to go back to amateur players, just like it used to be.
But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
It was never amateurs with the Russians involved.
Regardless, one of my favorite things was when Team Germany shunned all of it’s NHLers except Kolzig since they required the players to play in and travel to exhibitions together and practices as well. It was sweet. Except the losing part.

That’s true: the first one was pretty epically over-reacted.

It’s the fact that he was literally out of the net. Sure, stupid, shitty bounce, but most goalies don’t let themselves get that far out of the net.
by DrinkingPartner on Dec 18, 2009 11:40 PM EST up reply actions
and if he didn’t challenge, you would have all said “if only Varly was in net, and would have challenged the shooter and taken the angle away….”
theo shouldn’t have given up such a huge rebound in the first place, but schultz just had to not do something retarded…and he did. and we’re 2-2.

It’s not the rebound that bothers me, it’s the fact he literally ended up out of the crease. And he did that to himself.
by DrinkingPartner on Dec 18, 2009 11:44 PM EST up reply actions
ok fine, but he DID save the shot, and if Schultz does NOT kick the puck in his own net like a stumbling idiot (how the hell is his +/- rating as good as it is???) we wouldn’t be here….
i usually stick up for theo, but he DID give up a big rebound…even though Schultz’s awkward ass kicked it into the net, it’s still a huge rebound to give when you’re not prepared to cover the net afterwards.

He basically reacted the way any normal player would, by trying to collect the puck. How does he know there’s no one behind him waiting to get that rebound?
No, it was unfortunate, but that’s not a goal Schultzie will get blamed for.
by DrinkingPartner on Dec 18, 2009 11:48 PM EST up reply actions
I didn’t see the first goal, I just know he looked similar to what I would have looked like out there… and that just ain’t good.

At least I have the TSN feed (online), which is making me disproportionately happy. And I can still type ‘disproportionately’ after all the wine i’ve drunk.
