Well he did have a couple hundred people packing for him, so it should have been quick.

Surely you’re undercounting.

If we don’t go back there and make that event happen, the entire universe will be destroyed… and as an environmentalist, I’m against that.

Resign Semin so I don't have to buy yet another new jersey.

They reassigned Perrault to Hershey (according to the Caps website).

Is that a waiver-eligibility thing? His play didn’t warrant being sent down.

I’m not so sure. One point in his last ten games.

Agreed. He hit the wall. Send him back to Chocolatetown to regain his mojo and get that hunger back.

He signed his SPC in 2008 when he was (I think) 20 years old. That means he is waiver exempt for 3 years or 160 NHL games.

That’s too bad. I can’t imagine Wilson will be more effective than him.

So should we move this discussion over there?

So if Alzner is recalled, and we already have like 100 defensemen, does this mean someone is going…away?
by marks4java on Dec 14, 2009 10:24 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
No need to do that under the rules — Alzner takes Nylander’s roster spot, so there’s space for him. But it’s certainly a good idea from a personnel perspective.

Corey just confirmed there are 8 d-men at practice. 8. EIGHT.

I don’t suppose he confirmed which d-man is NOT at practice? Sloan?

Probably Poither. Rib injury.
Fun fact: A popular opinion can still be stupid.

Boo. I am bullish on Pothier.

It might finally be time to buy that #27 jersey. Happy Hanukkah to me.

Wait, so when we trade for Niedermeyer, what number will he wear? Or will Karl graciously give up him 27?
by katzistan on Dec 14, 2009 10:30 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Not sure that’s the d-man we need, but I’d certainly be happy to take him.
by marks4java on Dec 14, 2009 10:31 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
For three months, you bet Alzer gives it up.

Niedermayer is the reason he wears 27, right? I think I’d give it up to my idol too.
And for however long after if he opted to sign, like Fedorov.

I battled between an Alzner or a Laich for the longest time – but in the end I went for the Laich.
