JRHL Standings Update

I'll step up to the plate this week.  Great races in the Langway and Gartner Divisions.  Meanwhile, even with AO on the sidelines, Killer_Carlson is running away with the once-proud Labre Division.  Full standings, including sortable season stats, at this link.

debbie, how does it feel to go 8-2-0 during the week without gaining even a half-game in the standings?

trade went down today: boutros23 (Disgruntled Goats) sends mark streit to knee high to a duck (set sail for fail) in return for dustin brown.

And I’m looking to do a bit more shuffling. WTS Flyers.

streit was a nice pickup. i’d take your side of the deal.

by Natty Bumppo on Nov 9, 2009 9:27 PM EST up reply actions

How’s this for a pickup? I got Kiprusoff of the FA(!) list. He’s not the Vezina guy he once way, but he’s still going to be good for ~.907 and ~40 wins on that team. Luongo and Kiprusoff, I could do worse for goalies.

Also, now that I have Streit, I would be much more comfortable trading Matt Carle, so if anyone has an interest, hit me up.

Or rather, will have Streit if/when the trade goes through.

i’m probably playing with fire if mason ever gets injured, but i’d rather have the extra skater than the extra goalie.

by Natty Bumppo on Nov 9, 2009 10:03 PM EST up reply actions

That was my strategy but after MAF shitting the bed for like a week and a half straight I’m reconsidering…

If consequences dictate the course of action, then it doesn't matter what's right, it's only wrong if you get caught. If consequences dictate the course of action, then I should play God...

I’ll probably drop back to an extra skater when Luongo is healthy again and I see what I can get for either goalie, but as long as Luongo has cracked ribs, I’m sticking with 2 goalies.

So id the Gartner division like the SouthLeast?

8-2 victory with AO on the shelf. Talk about depth!

Of all our iniquities ignorance may be the worst

My perverts had a terrible week, but kronwall’s already jump started my come back… With Kovy traveling with the team, and hossa back before the end of the month its time to actually win more then just in penalties!

Evgeny Kuznetsov hams it up as he joins the Russia men's national team for the "Sweden Games" leg of the Euro Hockey Tour in Helsinki, Finland.

There's a bit of controversy as their game against the Finns is scheduled to be played in Helsinki's outdoor Olympic Stadium. Where the daytime temps are currently approximately minus-15 degrees Celsius, with periodic heavy snow.

This interview with head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov is fascinating, as he frets about the weather and especially when the reporters press him on the leaked reports that Kuznetsov will be centering the top line for Team Russia, just weeks after his 20th birthday.
