I fell for it!
I got punk’d by Lisa Hillary. I changed the channel in disgust got called away from the teevee for urgent business elsewhere in the final three minutes of regulation. Checked in just as LH gave the wrong info, rolled my eyes, and changed the channel again.
Imagine my surprise when I decided to look at the Recap.
SO FЯIENDS, IS BATTLE NOW.

Lisa creates a steaming pile! Outstanding! (She is oh-so quick to point out all the Caps’ shortcomings, all the time, even if she has to dig into a scab to find it.) Now. Hmm. Where did I put my dog-eared n’ dusty old book of Dumb Blonde jokes?
What was even funnier was how he clearly said THAT’S Lisa Hillary and I’m Michael Jenkins (AKA THE PERSON WHO DID NOT JUST SAY WHAT SHE SAID)

Not to defend LH, but I’m pretty sure it was an overall CSN fail. My guess? The producer wrote the opening script before the game finished and loaded it into ENPS (or whatever they use) and it was then uploaded into the prompter. The prompter operated probably forgot to hit ‘’update" before the show went live or they never updated the script. It kinda look liked LH hesitated in reading that the Caps lost. But a good anchor ignores the prompter and reports the right thing. (Can you tell I’ve worked in TV before…Prompter fails happen ALLLLL the time)
Did we find someone who wasn’t watching the Caps?

I guess LH was watching the game in an alternate universe, one where the Caps did NOT win last night.
There were, of course, 2 possibilities. One where Eric Fehr tied up the game in the closing seconds of regulation (which we were watching unless we had given up on the Caps) and the other where Eric Fehr was not able to do so.
Rocking the Red since 1975
and the other where Eric Fehr was not able to do so because BB has Fehr on the bench and Clark on the ice with the talent.

CSN also had a crawl fail last night (multiple times) in which Aucoin was credited with the primary assist on Ovechkin’s goal.

I also noticed that. I kept thinking, “Wasn’t that Backstrom? Wait…Aucoin isn’t even up!” lol
CSN was just plain fail last night. Awesome Caps game on CSN- while Wizards suck it up at home on HD – FAIL; Graphics – FAIL; Lisa Hillary – FAIL. tsk, tsk, tsk
It’s already been mentioned in media outlets, but with ownership of the Mystics, Caps, Wizards, and VC, Lincoln Holdings could muster up enough for their own media outlet. Would this be welcomed or despised? I like CSN, truth be told, but I’m not sure I wouldn’t enjoy a return to something more in the style of HTS.
Familiar Rapports: Bald Pollack, F&B, Gould Old Days.
Lobbies: Osala, Perreault, Erskine, Pothier, Neuvirth, Flash.
Fan of: Mean Lars Backstrom, Line Mashing, Cake.
Somehow all I can think of is MSG/Cablevision and tall poppies. One step at a time: a dehumidifier, the 200-level seats, and then maybe media control.

Well from what I can tell and understand from various intervies etc with Lisa as well as the other on air CSN talent they generally write their own stuff, that said she probably did indeed need to start prepping for the show before the final minutes of the game and up till like the 17:00 mark of the period you had to feel it wasn’t going to be the Caps night.
I was going to say she’s probably a Habs fan but from this interview I understand her to be a Caps – Flames fan so I’ll not be so snarkey…
