Can I scream again about being forced to watch non HD feed b/c it blacks out my NHLN HD feed? This is completely forgetting the fact that I’m supposedly in a “Baltimore” region so I don’t get the Fios channel that shows CSN+…but b/c in theory it’s on that channel I get blacked out on NHLN b/c I’m still considered “local”.

Spent the day before the dinner with him and a bunch of other kids my age, playing floor hockey and chatting it up. He was so incredibley nice to everybody, the honor was well deserved.

Every 4-5 months, Ovi decides that his hair is getting too long and out of control. While I like his hair long to some degree, it was way out of control before his recent hair cut. He should probably get it cut every 3 months or so.

Yeah but he’d be so nervous and put so much pressure on himself he’d be a mess. I’d like a more controlled setting for him to show his goods. He’s seemed to have a problem shining in big moments so far in his career so giving him a debut in MON seems like it’s a nice thing to do for him, but not setting him up to succeed. I also don’t think his play (really production since I don’t watch Hershey) has warranted a call up over Osala so far.

Both are wings and both are waiver exempt. Not sure whether either one is better suited to RW. I think Bouchard is a natural RW and Osala is a natural LW but with AO and Semin both had better be able to play RW if they want to play for the Caps.

I don’t know about far better…many of his goals are him using the D man as a screen…him and Backstrom usually run the criss cross drop pass play
by Davethecapsfan on Nov 28, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
He can still use a D as a screen after he receives the pass. When Backstrom carries the puck the D back in more than when AO does and that lets AO get more space and closer to the net.

Glad other people notice how solid Beagle has been. The physical play at the NHL level hasn’t fazed him one bit, finally got his first goal too he’s a guy who easily fills a 4th line role and contributes. Alzner does look pretty good so far…the raw skills are there. I liked what I saw from Carlson as well…the fixes for our main issues last year are in the pipeline and that was said all along. The Habs got an early 1-0 lead so the Leafs fans were hearing it but the Leafs scored like 7 unanswered to dominate. Best hockey game I’ve ever been to.

I don’t really think Paleta should have gotten suspended for that hit. The big difference between his and the one he took from Ovie was he really hit the guy in the numbers whereas Ovechkin hit him shoulder to shoulder. But both times the guy with the puck sees the hit coming and turns away from it. Stupidity or that attempt to draw a call shouldn’t get rewarded…then you won’t see guys doing that and getting hurt.

I agree it’s worse than the Ovechkin hit b/c he hit the guy right between the numbers (clearly from behind). But the guy with the puck intentionally/stupidly puts himself in that position by turning at the last second. No way he can stop in time to prevent the hit.
