I’m watching the PIT game.
CBo has only had one noticeable moment: he lost or caught an edge and took an embarrassing tumble with nobody around. You could see him chuckle about it on the bench. But he is playing.
BJ had a very nice glove save that Shane Doan wishes he could do over.
For anyone that thinks Sid may have changed his game, he just took a pretty blatant dive. The Pens announcers said:
Steggy: “That’s the first penalty Sid has drawn this year.”
Errey: “And I would definitely say he drew it.”
Steggy: “Oh yes he did.”
Sid took a stupid slash on the ensuing PP.

Yeah but PHX has looked good this year. PIT hasn’t looked particularly great in either game against NYR or NYI either, to be honest. They just have a ton of talent so are getting by.

I tuned in to check out PHX. They have an interesting lineup.
By the way, that comment from the announcers after the Sid dive made me guffaw. It was such a blatant dive. Ridiculous.
Fight, you time-wasting figure skaters!
Peter Prucha just scored his 6th goal against the Pens. If he goes on waivers we need to snag him!

Yeah but that’s a tough call.
Sid with 2 slashing penalties now. He likes to use that stick, don’t he?

It’s a new stick. Maybe he’s breaking it in.

I assume the conventional wisdom is that Phoenix can’t keep this up for a full season? So far, they’re doing a good job of making the Pens look silly. I hope Bruce is recording this game and planning to use it for instructional purposes. (Now watch them blow the game in the third.)
Well PHX is really trying and PIT knows it’s really not that important. I think they are having some urgency/motivational issues early in the season. Kinda like what the Caps have sometimes multiplied by a thousand.

Should be fun. One of them has to lose. PIT better play a hell of a lot better than they did tonight if they want to win, though.

The part that made me smile most? Upon a penalty call in the third, they said it was the Penguins’ tenth. Why can’t the Caps be the other team on the ice when that happens?
Because PIT doesn’t blow off WSH like they blow off PHX.
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But, if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. If you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.
“Sammi Lepisto with the quick stick to get the puck away from Malkin.”
Woot.

I hate that my basic cable doesn’t have any hockey on tonight.

I’m still on an analog signal – I can’t even order CI. I’ve considered Game Center, but have been reading mixed reviews.

Not mixed at all from this guy. It’s amazing — the one thing you have to consider is that if it’s televised in your area (including nationally), it’s blacked out, period. So you won’t be able to watch any games on NBC, Versus, or even NHL Network.

With Varly recent struggles I kinda wish we could have kept Johnny.
"And next year it will be ours."
We don’t need BJ and Theo. The only way to keep BJ would have been to move Theo.
