They’ve always done it, she was just in denial. Flyers goons always try to stir up trouble down here… (but not all Flyers fans are goons).
Should be an interesting story to see unfold, perhaps this was a private beef and they seized this opportunity to strike and escape in the midst of a throng of drunkards?

This stood out:
Ugh. A barehanded battle between opposing fans is nothing new, but what apparently happened back in Philly afterward is truly scary.
Atta dinnin stick a who!
Just because it’s a barehanded battle and nothing new doesn’t make it ok. What the hell is going on???
If you’ve ever seen the movie “Broken Arrow”, there’s a line in it that is pretty telling and fits this situation. It’s when the term “Broken Arrow” is explained and the character says, “I don’t know which is scarier, the fact that we’ve lost a nuclear weapon, or the fact that it happens often enough that there’s a code for it.”
Let's go Caps!

No big deal. If anything, it adds a bit to the whole game-going experience. Probably we don’t have all the details. The stabbing has probably nothing to do with hockey or fanhood. 2 guys fighting after a few beers and some well placed comments isn’t out of the ordinary. Now if we’re talking about some guys jumping another for no other reason than wearing the wrong jersey, that’s when it stops being OK. And even then, if the guy is strutting his Flyers or NJ jersey in the wrong part of town in an arrogant way, he’s gotta watch his back or have his crew with him.
Either that or maybe my view is skewed cause I’m from Europe.
I’m sure everyone here has at least wanted to punch a fan of the opposite team after a tough defeat (or a tough goal against) when they tease you (in your own building or town) when you just want to go home and forget about it (think Backstrom own goal vs Pitsburgh), and have not done so not because of pure goodness of the heart and human nature, but fear of retaliation or arrest.
Really? no one feels that? Dang, I guess that’s what growing up in Europe does to you.
