I’m smokey the bear and my brother is greenman. Lots of positive reviews on greenman so far. I look mostly half assed. Go caps.

Anyone know what channel the game is on on Comcast in Northern VA? I know people mentioned CSN+ but I can’t find it in my channel lineup. Thanks!

On comcast in arlington, the CSN webpage says that the game will be on channel 21. Its like MASN2, its a different channel the rest of the time except when there is a game

in Arlington, CSN+ is 77 for me.

hmmmm… the website that you just listed gave me channel 21. 77 is the channel that rotates between cspan2 and masn2 during baseball season so it would make sense though

I am very eager to see what kind of jump we have in the third tonight, and whether we’ll need it. My sources say we will.

The MSG+ guys are genuinely stunned that Ovechkin and Semin passed up on scoring opportunities to try to get the puck to one another. “It’s like winning the lottery if you’re the Islanders”, they said. Guess they don’t watch many Caps games…

by sixsevenfiftysix on Oct 30, 2009 7:42 PM EDT reply actions

Nope, I think it’s more a reflection on the players

by bigeugene on Oct 30, 2009 8:37 PM EDT up reply actions

The D hasn’t been great, but the 1st and 3rd goals both seem like ones that should get stopped. At least we won’t have to worry about them coasting through the 3rd tonight…on home ice they better get juiced up to put in the work.

I miss those 3rd periods we saw late in the year 2 years ago when we made our insane run to the division title when we would just take over and outshoot teams 23-1, 25-2, etc.

by Davethecapsfan on Oct 30, 2009 8:36 PM EDT reply actions

Totally agree. Theo has made some excellent saves but both of those goals could have been stopped. The second goal would have been a really nice save, but it looked to me like he went down a split second early and left the entire top shelf open.

by Kolzilla on Oct 30, 2009 8:41 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m not going to complain about that one when we suddenly give up the puck 5 feet away from goal. He hasn’t seemed as steady tonight and his positioning has looked off.

Pothier’s the guy I would sit ASSUMING we can move Circles and finally bring Alzner up. I could definitely live with Green/Mo, Poti/Schultz, and Juice/Alzner…especially remembering how much Jurcina’s game improved in the short time he was paired with Alzner last season.

Evgeny Kuznetsov hams it up as he joins the Russia men's national team for the "Sweden Games" leg of the Euro Hockey Tour in Helsinki, Finland.

There's a bit of controversy as their game against the Finns is scheduled to be played in Helsinki's outdoor Olympic Stadium. Where the daytime temps are currently approximately minus-15 degrees Celsius, with periodic heavy snow.

This interview with head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov is fascinating, as he frets about the weather and especially when the reporters press him on the leaked reports that Kuznetsov will be centering the top line for Team Russia, just weeks after his 20th birthday.
