Marcus Johansson, down on the gård
After 12GP he's 6-4-10, high scorer for FÄRJESTAD BK, and good for 17th in the league so far. And he's known as "Mackan."
Mackan goal rescued a point
One of the youngest on the team is also one of the best. Marcus Johansson's acknowledgment to 1-1 against Lulea rescued a point and now he also leads the team's internal points.

Sounds like he’s doing pretty well. And Angus still can’t crack an SEL line up. I can’t wait to see what Mackan can do next season. I bet he challenges hard for a roster spot.

GMGM is money.
Maybe play with an edge, be a little more physical -- maybe be more of a prick out there.
You’re kinda supposed to be with first rounders.

And he is, Eric Fehr excluded.

TBD on Fehr. But let’s talk when we start seeing some sub 1st-rounders on the roster.

I’m still waiting to see what Stefan Della Rovere does.
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But, if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. If you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.
You can add Bouchard, Osala and Perreault there also. But until those guys (along with any of Orlov, Kugreshev, Brody, Eakin, Holtby, etc.) start threatening for sweaters on the big club, I’m not ready to give GMGM that other eye for talent just yet.

Perreault is sillllllly.

This is just like when Fehr exploded for 50 goals after GMGM reached for him… except MJ is playing against men in a high quality league and Fehr was playing in juniors. Also, while MJ was a reach there weren’t any true “how did we pass on him” guys left on the board.
God, I didn’t mean for this post to be negative. I’m really happy that MJ is kicking butt.
Meh. I don’t think the parallels are really there. Mackan isn’t putting up gaudy numbers and he’s a relatively small guy playing with men. Fehr was literally a man among boys at that point and that hid a lot of flaws.

“Down at the Gård” is an amazing headline. Rec’d for that alone.
I only watched a couple of Färjestad games so far this season but I always keep an extra eye on Marcus and I think he has grown a lot since last season he looks much more comfortable on the ice. It’s nice that he have started to put up some points but what have impressed me the most is his defensive play, he is a two way player for sure. His coach trust him enough to have him up against the other teams best lines and he makes it look easy to prevent scoring changes from SEL best players. He looks like his been playing in elitserien for years and it’s hard to understand that he just turned 19.

Please, tell us more … We can only see stats here and two things aren’t so impressive.
He’s only around 40% in faceoffs, taking the fourth most on the team. So it’s great to hear about his two-way play but is there some question about him developing as a center? (beyond that he’s listed as a left wing in the team site)
Six goals looks great but he’s got them on just 15 shots, and that 40% shooting percentage won’t last. Has he just been lucky so far, or particularly adept at getting great chances? He’s also mentioning the “skitpuck” which I’m hoping translates into “garbage goal” or maybe just fluke.
As far as I know there is absolutely no talk about him having problems with the center position. He just turned 19 and played less then 70 games in elitserien therefore he doesn’t know the other players tendency’s on the dot. He’s still growing and can’t be expected to be as strong as full grown men. To be good at F-O you need time, strength and experience. He’s Swedish so that means two things: Even if he have a great shot, witch he does he won’t use it enough and even if he scored a hat trick and were 100% on face off he would say it wasn’t me it was the team. He’s smart and do all the little things right so I’m not worried about the things you mentioned.
skitpuck=garbage goal

Does K = SH in that instance like it sometimes does in Swedish? If so, I’m laughing.
Maybe play with an edge, be a little more physical -- maybe be more of a prick out there.
The previous post, obviously, should have been a reply.

I’m definitely adding skitpuck to my hockey parlance going forward.
What was the final score?

How did the shootout turn out?
