Along with Sombrero Guy and chockster, I've been keeping an eye on the AHL this weekend, watching Nyls and Flash in their respective minor league debuts. All I work with is the Gamesheet provided for each game at the official AHL website, and any errors or misinterpretations of the data are mine.

First up - FlashWatch:

Flash went 0,1,+1 today with 2 SOG, combining with Kyle Wilson to hit up Andrew Gordon for his sixth goal of the season (and Second Star of the Game).

And although Perreault was sent to the Box of Shame for a four-minute double minor high-sticking penalty, Joudrey and Pinizzotto managed to sneak in the game-winning shorty goal while on that PK and the Bears win today 3-2.

NylsWatch: Back at the Grand Rapids Ranch, Nylander went 0,2,+1 with 1 SOG, hitting up J. Tardif on PPs for goals number 2 & 3 on the day for a hat trick and First Star of the Game, as well as goals number 3 & 4 on the season. The Griffins won the game 6-1 and are now 3-0 in the Nylander Era.

Is that a bunch of Calder Cups sewn onto the rear-end of the Bears’ jersey? Nice way to tell other teams to kiss their ass. Love it.

Good eye, chockster. That is a 2006-2007 jersey, therefore there are nine Cups. I’ve not checked this year’s hem, but there ought to be 10 Cups all in a nice neat row.

I like the new-look logo as well:

IS PAЯTY NOW
