Recaps!
Simply Sensational lists winners and losers. Craig Laughlin apparently trending down. At least until the end of soccer season.
Peerless thinks it would be hard to find a win in the last decade that the Caps deserved less. Kanoobie does not approve.
The Boss looks on the bright side.
Ed Frankovic gives Keith Aucoin a little credit:
Aucoin only had 8:47 of ice time but he sure was noticeable in a positive way. His 1:18 of power play time was the only one that the Caps had sustained pressure on the Islanders in their zone. He had the game tying tally tonight and will eventually get credit for two assists in the Thrashers win on Thursday. That is 3 points in under 15 minutes of ice time, perhaps he warrants some more time this week?
NylanderWatch: No goals, no assists, -1 in regulation/OT, but did pot the Griffins’ first shootout goal (SO finally decided 2 goals to one) for a Grand Rapids victory.
FlashWatch: No goals, no assists, -3 with 4 SOG (5-2 loss to Binghamton) in easily the most colorful performance of his minor league career:

And yes, the Bears' power play is suffering without Alexandre Giroux and Aucoin.
In other League news, Don Cherry remains utterly predictable, Pierre LeBrun dishes a little on the Nylander situation, and the NHL has a bright future with its two young leaders.
