Anybody wagering on NHL games?
It dawned on me that wagering on hockey was an option when I was watching Elitserien games online. One of their main sponsors is a government-run (I believe) sports book. I also saw a dude using his iPhone to bet while sitting in front of me at Verizon center. Thought I'd give it a try, and I've been betting on the NHL since after the trading deadline last season.
I use an online sports book and have had a modicum of success, though my winning percentage has dwindled since my book has (I guess) discontinued NHL prop betting. I made a killing betting that Viktor Kozlov would NOT score in a playoff game last year, for example.
So who else partakes? Share your fun times or dramatic losses or horror stories or rants against gambling!

I don’t bet, but that’s because I spend too much money as it is. Last thing I need to be doing is gambling.

I thought Kozlov scored a couple last year?

He did! I think this was a game after one of those goals. It was the only time I saw Kozlov involved in a prop bet, and for some reason the odds were set that he probably WOULD score. Couldn’t resist, threw half of my account behind it and scored big (unlike Kozzy in that game).
Maybe play with an edge, be a little more physical -- maybe be more of a prick out there.

I have a friend who bets all the time using a Czech site (tipsports.cz)
What do you use?

Sportsbetting.com
It’s ugly and there are better sites, so I might bolt if they don’t bring back individual game props soon.

Betting on an individual game, or event in a game is kinda silly given that on any night the worst team in the league can win (even the 74-75 Caps won 8 games). I’ve bet on hockey when I was in Vegas, but I was betting on Over-Under for points for a season.
I never understood how people can bet on an individual game with so many random events that can happen…
Let's go Caps!

The fact that any team can beat any team in hockey is how you make money. Bet on the crap team that is ‘due for a win’ and sometimes it shakes out that way.

It wouldn’t be gambling if there weren’t a chance that either team wins.

I’ve been to AC once, and left with 1100% of what I went in with.
Don’t think I’ll ever gamble again – house is slated to get it all back at this point! =)

Wandered about, broke even most places, hit a big payout on a video poker machine.
(Read: Tried everything for about 10m each and got insanely bored with the enterprise.)

Try BetUS if you like props. I’ve found them to be reliable.

I’ve thought about it before but the only gambling I like to do is playing poker. The money is what excites most people I guess. I like just being better than my opponents.
I have thought about betting on UFC a lot though. I usually pick 90% of the fights correctly.
One guy just drove his semi as a float. I guess semis are cool.

I learned long ago that betting and I don’t mix. If I bet on Rocky to win the big fight in Rocky IV, it would turn out that I was watching some Russian special edition where Drago won.
Because now I can justify browsing and commenting during the work day with the argument that I am promoting my business.
