Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Apparently Semenov's wife/family wasn't into letting him join the Rangers. Might they be a good trade partner for the Caps?

Perhaps someone with two hands and some time can figure out the Rangers salary cap situation to see what might work?

According to CapGeek, the Rangers have about $800k in cap space. If we wanted to ship a Dman that they could fit without them making any other moves, it would have to be Sloan or Shultz. To move ShaMo, they would need to drop a little over $1mil in space and to move Juice, they would need to move about $500k. Considering that we don’t want to pickup cap space, they would need to do something to open room if a trade was to be made.

Guess they don’ make much of a trade partner until Gaborik’s inevitable groin pull occurs

Hey, maybe they’ll decide to pick Nyls back up! They’ll have the space

No but the Habs could be…

…assuming they give up on trying to fill the void in terms of puck-movement.

Good point, and Spacek should fill the PP void. He was decent for buffalo last year.

Adding O’Byrne being down for up to 6 weeks, and you never know.

Evgeny Kuznetsov hams it up as he joins the Russia men's national team for the "Sweden Games" leg of the Euro Hockey Tour in Helsinki, Finland.

There's a bit of controversy as their game against the Finns is scheduled to be played in Helsinki's outdoor Olympic Stadium. Where the daytime temps are currently approximately minus-15 degrees Celsius, with periodic heavy snow.

This interview with head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov is fascinating, as he frets about the weather and especially when the reporters press him on the leaked reports that Kuznetsov will be centering the top line for Team Russia, just weeks after his 20th birthday.
