Haven’t been watching them too much – dinner with Dad and a call from work conspired to make me late to the party. Now watching Boston outwork Dallas.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But, if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. If you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.

Watching FLA-PHI now. Seems like PHI saves their best efforts for the Caps. Cats up 3-2 with half the third left.

Theres a little role-reversal too. Cats have a shorty.

Hey, our guys often save their best efforts for the good teams. Let’s face it, other teams don’t blow the Caps off anymore.

watched that game, too. My ears are bleeding after listening to it (Philly broadcast)

How’s that whole Beach Week thingy working out, PHI? And now you have all the way ’til Wednesday to savor that loss.

IS PAЯTY NOW

The good news is, so do I :)

did you hear them talking about fights during the intermission?

by hockeyman33 on Oct 17, 2009 11:50 AM EDT up reply actions

it was on, but I was using intermission to catch up on some other things. Plus, the audio and video were not sync’ed up at all, which absolutely drives me crazy.

It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again:

Lost my parlay bet tonight. Hoping tomorrow turns out better! Go Caps! (and Sharks and Stars)

Maybe play with an edge, be a little more physical -- maybe be more of a prick out there.

Caps didn’t hold up their end of the bargain; I lost.

Rags v Sharks Game

Heater just split the Rags D like a Ferrari.

I can’t believe the Rags O so far this season. Not used to seeing that fire power.

Well I didn’t shave all weekend, and I was doing manly stuff. So could be…

That game was huge for me for fantasy purposes, though it did bone me in the JRFHL league. I’m still coming for ya HKtD.

When was the last time anyone saw Stephan Robidas without an open wound on his face or a broken jaw? I can’t remember. That guy has got to be one of the worst at self-defense.

I have to say, I like the new Versus commercial on superstitions. “I stick pins in my Sidney Crosby bobblehead” – Malkin shakes head. Or, alternate version, Lundqvist says, “I like that.”

Fight, you time-wasting figure skaters!

Jeezy Petes. Now Brian Campbell’s turn for a disgusting D zone turnover followed by Niemmi giving up the Theo Special. Played solid all game then lets in a dagger late in the third. Watching CHI makes me feel so much better about our goaltending.

twas a thing of beauty. Sammuelson just plucked it away from Campbell and snapped it right to the back of the net.

I’m atching the Yote’s game, but I tend to post over on Fiveforhowling when I watch them. OdinMercer’s a cool fellow.

I'm so sick and tired of the refs explaining the calls like this is the NFL.

Most Wings fans I know in real life tend to be depressed and angry with everyone.

you’d be depressed and angry if you ever lived in Detroit (or Michigan, for that matter), too. Wretched place. Truly god awful, soul crushing, depressing place. I hate having to go visit.

Evgeny Kuznetsov hams it up as he joins the Russia men's national team for the "Sweden Games" leg of the Euro Hockey Tour in Helsinki, Finland.

There's a bit of controversy as their game against the Finns is scheduled to be played in Helsinki's outdoor Olympic Stadium. Where the daytime temps are currently approximately minus-15 degrees Celsius, with periodic heavy snow.

This interview with head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov is fascinating, as he frets about the weather and especially when the reporters press him on the leaked reports that Kuznetsov will be centering the top line for Team Russia, just weeks after his 20th birthday.
