The Grinders’ strategy of not actually picking up any grinders is paying off!

Gee, the Polar Bear Rebellion are doing well! Their owner must be very smart. Awesome team name, too, btw :)

Hunter is a tight division. Coming to get you this week, Natty!

Fight, you time-wasting figure skaters!

Yeah, I’m glad I bounced back. In a related story, DCM is looking to make a trade for an experienced starter.

I'm so sick and tired of the refs explaining the calls like this is the NFL.

In goal. I probably shouldn’t have left that part out.

hartnell for carey price! that’s big time. knee, nice move grabbing price for value in round 5.

Seems like a good time to pimp my pick of Kopitar at the end of the 8th round. Although, I think I have to give a little credit to ESPN for hiding him on the rankings below studs like Robbie Schremp.

right, i couldn’t believe it when his name scrolled up in the 7th round, and i was biting at the chomp. oh well. dobber hockey is much higher on him than ESPN, who still refuse to move him past #64 on their weekly rankings.

not at all feeling confident now that laich has come back to earth. maybe semin on line 2 will help keep #21 relevant. gotta like the starts from tavares and gaborik, though! NY, represent.

whiter mage: thanks for all your work as the commish, and the tables in this fanshot (with links) are sweeeeet.

holy crap, i just noticed sean avery scored two goals last night.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 13, 2009 8:01 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I have a whole new reason to hate him now.

Fight, you time-wasting figure skaters!

just picked up free agent 19-year-old D michael del zotto. it’s all NY all the time for the ice.

I can’t say I’m a big fan of the ATOI score caption.

i like it inasmuch that if a team overloads with specialists (i.e. players with high PIMs), he’s hurting himself in another category.

by Natty Bumppo on Oct 14, 2009 8:17 PM EDT up reply actions

WM, no clarity on the waiver wire question i posted over at the league board?

Had a busy day. I’ll look at it now.

I slumped a little this week, but everyone be on notice: I’m coming back strong this week!

I will take full credit if I end up doing well, and blame drafting 5 hours after having surgery where I was put under and had a 6 inch plate screwed into my arm if my team falters. I’m covered.

you’re not covered for the misspelling in your team name, though!

Not a bad start, but now Baby Got Backes faces some true adversity: what do they do with the team name now that David Backes has been cut?

There was a Prestige Worldwide in my random public league in fantasy baseball. Who is this mystery person?
