Meh … more of the same. Is that smoke I smell, or bullsh*t?

I dunno. I’m at the point where if it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I’m tired of getting my hopes up only to be let down tiem and time again.

So then is he being sat to pressure him into accepting a deal, or has he accepted the deal and GMGM is just working out the compensation? It seems like it’s gone on too long to just be a compensation issue unless Ted gave orders to recoup every penny GMGM could get back.

This is just speculation, not any inside knowledge, but I think Nyls has already accepted the deal, and he’s sitting so he doesn’t get hurt. I agree it has gone on for a while, but having no knowledge of how the KHL works or what situation the matching team is in (financially or hockey-wise), I can’t really say that it is unusual. Maybe the KHL team is not in any hurry. Maybe they’re further apart on the money than we thought. Who knows. My gut still says he’s out of here by the end of the month, though.

I think if a deal had been agreed to, he’d be gone. It’s not in anyone’s interest for him to stick around here once they know where he’ll be.

I think he’s being sat because Boudreau won’t play him. I think it’s that simple. The team’s management thinks they have a better lineup without him than with him.
