Quit being such a damn homer!
I would use the words “degenerate gambler” instead of homer :)
(I’d take Semin over Jokinen by the way)

Yeah, that was my vote/bet as well.

If I understood any of this gambling stuff, I might make a pick. As I hate to lose, I don’t gamble. Have at it, everyone else. But I guess if I had to pick, I’d take the points pick.
As an example, in the Ovechkin vs. Crosby bet above, Ovie is the favorite and you would have to bet $140 to win $100 back on top of that (i.e. its a less than even money bet). Crosby is the underdog, and by betting $100 you would win $110 back on top of the original bet (greater than even money bet). As you’d probably guess, the other bets with “Ev” means you’d win even money.
All of the above are considered “moneyline” bets.

F&B will feel dirty rec’ing this (as I did), but it’s so worth it. Continuity!
"Good crowd out there tonight, boys, let's really try to win this one."
I have Ovie with more points than Sid...
Sid has missed more than a few games each of the past 2 seasons, so that would enter into it.
Don’t think that Olli Jokinen’s numbers won’t go up this year. Playing with Iginla is good for anyone’s stats…
Let's go Caps!
For his assists stat. I don’t see his goal totals going up.
I'm so sick and tired of the refs explaining the calls like this is the NFL.
The thing is Oli is a shooter. He’s not a typical puck moving C, he’s more like E. Staal in that he likes to carry the puck and shoot for himself. I don’t know that he’s a great fit for Iginla’s line.
If you're after gettin' the honey, then you don't go killin' all them bees.
How about Oli playoff series wins, over/under 1/2?

I agree that Olli has been that most of his career considering where he was playing before he ended up in Calgary (Islanders, Florida, Phoenix). On those teams he didn’t have any choice but to do it all himself. He’s never had a linemate/teammate like Iggy before, and I think he’s a good enough player to adjust his game.
Let's go Caps!
