Tom Boswell Not Exactly Aware Of The Caps Opener
I know Boswell is a baseball guy, but this is ridiculous.

Tom Boswell: The regular season as been a dud. I think the post-season will be excellent. These are really entertaining teams with lots of glamor. Of course, part of the reason is that this has not been a good year for parity. A lot of rich teams have come through the draw.
You can get me to watch the Yanks, Dodgers, Red Sox, Phils, Angels or Cards any day. I'd put their chances of reaching the Series in that order __and any of them could do it. Hope the Tigers hang on for detroit and Illich's sake. The Rox have wonderful fundamentals and strong arms. But they had their WS, didn't they?
But to answer your question, Boston has recently gotten excited at the way their pitching has gotten back to health and Ortiz (supposedly done and dsicredited) is one of the top A.L. HR hitters in the second half. They're baaaack.

one can only assume the mention of Theo confused Mr. Boswell. He had THIS Theo come to mind

I’ve seen Boswell chats betore where one of his responses got posted to the wrong question (blamed the software — maybe I buy that; it is the Post, after all).. He’s caught it then. I have no idea how he could have screwed that up so badly and not caught it.

to be fair, i wouldn’t call it idiocy, but more proof that the longest tenured writers at the Post have other sports much higher in their mind’s awareness than hockey

What a bad order of likeliness to reach the world series as well. I mean, the Cards are 5-2 against the Dodgers, and nearly unstoppable since acquiring Matt Holliday. He’s clearly not a baseball guy either.
I'm so sick and tired of the refs explaining the calls like this is the NFL.
