Alexander Ovechkin is objectively the best forward in the world. Not just the best Russian forward, he is the best in the entire planet.

High praise from a guy who’s, you know, never shared NHL ice with him.

when the shut us out 3-0 back in November?

Nope. He was in the lovely town of Syracuse, NY.

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but it’s a little bold for a kid with all the experience of four NHL games to offer such an objective view on the matter.

It’s really not up for much debate, though. He’s merely stating a fact. :)

I’m not sure you could find many non-Penguins who would disagree with that sentiment. Even the Canadian hockey writers are starting to relent (though clearly the bigger debate at this point is Malkin vs. Ovechkin, not Crosby vs. Ovechkin).

I haven't played in the NHL either.

But I know that Crosby is a bitch and Malkin chokes.

What's the opposite of "Bulletin Board Material"

I think this is supposed to be translated by the media as “Please Alex don’t hurt us.”

Or, “can I have your autograph?”
