I’m slowly getting used to the idea, but it boggles my mind how awesome both the Caps and their fans have become. Apart from Game 2 of the 98 conference finals (when Krygier scored in OT), I’d never been to a Caps game louder than any of the regular season games I’ve attended this year.
The fans make a big difference, and you can’t fake it. It’s simply incredible how exciting the Caps are and how genuinely passionate Caps fans, old and new, are about them.
