There are some truly awe-inspiring airbrush jobs on 70’s-80s Topps and OPC. It only sort of beats what they often did before, which was to paste the player’s head on someone else’s body, often to great comedic benefit.

Interesting to see the Topps version of that set. I’ve only ever seen it in OPC.
I really remember him best as a Flame.
My compliments on adding this feature. Outstanding idea. :)

One of the nicest folks off the ice. At the Capital Centre, I used to chat with him and Doc Emrick before ESPN and later Flyer games. Really a good person.
He’s also a big fan of the popcorn at the VC (and before at the Cap Centre) from Joe (the guy who’s been making it since 1974…

Joe’s awesome. And since your he’s “a good person” is based on personal experience and my “he’s a douche” is based on his television persona, you win – Bill Clement: really a good person.

As a TV personality, he was….ok. Not much in the way of excitement (well other than the “Rambo-hockey” thing he did at the Easter Epic.
Of course, it was funny the first year watching the Versus hockey studio show and seeing the entire panel (Clement, Engblom and Jones) all be former Caps….
